Perhaps a long time ago. Still there now.
Absolutely! This ain't the 60's no more!!
August 8th- 12th
They do sell hats and T-shirts .
Tasty food, tasty beer, excellent company.
Great stop. Biker friendly. Everyone is welcome here.
Great vibes and good cheeseburgers
Great food and people!!!
Awesome place loved it.
Haven't been to Bill's in over 20 yrs. Going this weekend. Wonder if my dollar is still on the wall with my name? Let you know if it's still as great as i remember.
Great place great people too. They know a lot about what's going on around the place, bikers, to bike riding on trailer to tubing and kyaking and canoe's.Stop and check it out. Good food there and you feel at home like you know them. It's 50 plus year's of history at Bill's.
THE BEST HIDDEN AWAY BAR AND FOOD IN MARYLAND. VERY FRIENDLY BUNCH YOU ALWAY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE HOME.
Great little bar off the beaten path
Cash only. No free water to refill bottles . Tavern food, pretty good.
Cool country bar and restaurant
Bills places has been around for a long time, always been one of my favorite places to go. It's a one stop shop that has all your camping needs, plus it's a bar, and restaurant.. Highly recommended
An out of the way bar. Great pizza
Love it here
Out of the way place with great food and prices.
Jack is the man.
Getting there is half the fun. Good people, good food.
Stopped by this place mid-afternoon 9/25/19 while riding the C&O Towpath and it appears to be permanently closed. Sign said the building was for sale and the door was padlocked. Think twice before counting on this for an essential stop on your trip.
It's Little Orleans. That only grocery store in town.
Bills place is the only restaurant in Little Orleans MD. It is right off of the C&O canal, so it is a must stop. The food there is decent and prices are great. They were very welcoming even though we were covered in mud from head to toe. We had the ribeye and crab cake sandwich and both were good. The fries cauliflower were awesome and it is a must try.
Stopped by this past July on a tour from Pitt to D.C. Bill's is closed on Tuesdays which we didn't realize. We had an offer from the grown daughter to give us a lift into town. But the step-son opened briefly for a few minutes to grant us access to water, soda and snacks. My ride buddy & I didn't stay very long but were welcome.
Awesome place
Stopped in while riding the C&O trail. The food was good and staff was friendly. Its kind of a mix of everything, part bar, part restaurant, and part corner store. So if you are riding or camping on the trail you can get some quick supplies from Bill's.
Just attempted to eat lunch at Bill's - but the creep seated behind the cash register barked loudly at me, hollering that I had mud on me and that I better not sit down... Bill's is located right on the C&O Canal trail - and it was a rainy day - and I had just ridden over 40 miles on my bike - so I wonder if this happens to every cyclist that tries to patronize this (empty) restaurant. They are the only place serving food for miles around and apparently have all the business they need. Avoid at all costs!
Locally owned and operated...BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER!!! FORGET POPEYES and KFC! Wish I lived closer!! Great service..just a good ole home town spot! Canoe rentals and camp needs as well!
Super friendly and affordable. Nice little snack shop inside. Decent selection of beer. 4/5 due to cash only.
Greatest group of people in the world. Can't wait to go back. The bikes were amazing, beer was cold, and the food hot. Loved it. If you get a chance stop by and get a cold one.
Very cool bar nesstled in the Blue Ridge mountains. Simple & perfect with a food & drink menu that's the same...simple but good. A lot to do in the area from exploring Greenridge State Forest by car, mountain bike or foot, kayaking/swimming & camping are all right there. If you like exploring & finding great new places along the way this is one of the areas great hidden treasures & an excellent starting point for such an adventure.
Great place to grab a quick bite when biking the C&O and the Western Maryland Rail Trail!
Great place food was great
It's the only place to eat or drink along a long stretch of the towpath but be aware of what it is. A cheap bar with cheap food filled with a mix a passers-through and locals. It will fill your basic needs but this out-of-towner wouldn't recommend being there past dark on a Saturday night. Still, nobody can say that it is a generic restaurant. You will remember it.
“Gastropub” lol. This is a dive bar at best. We stopped here at around mile 45 of our C&O bikepacking trip. I had high hopes for this place but when we visited, there was some motorcycle meet up going on. Definitely felt unwelcomed and in the way stopping for some food here. Food was disappointing but better than another cliff bar from my pocket. Very much the only place to get a warm meal for miles on the C&O. Beggars can’t be choosers I guess.
Really cool place !There is a bar and grill. Food is pretty good. You can rent canoes here and the C&O Canal is nearby.Lots of trails to hike and lots of dirt roads to explore.
stopped by a couple yrs ago on an early Sunday morning, place was locked up yet Bill was sweeping the floor, opened for me and i enjoyed a couple of hours of down home conversation and cooking.not 1 bit of racism as 1 viewer commented and i have a heavy accent.Bill explained the history of the area, his business and just good old chat.type of business we used to have in every town with great hospitality and pride.i highly recommend anyone to go enjoy Bill's Place.
I’ve never felt more unwelcome then I did when we walked in today, the bartender was nasty and belligerent!! Should I add from a stool he sat on, didn’t even get up. He used profound language towards us before we sat down. If your not a local and or ride there on a bike you might as well keep going. Drove a distance to get there against others advise. (should of listened) when we pulled up we should of know it’s not a friendly place from the attitude of those sitting on the front deck. If your not local keep going!!
One of the only places to eat in the area. Very colorful place.
This place is the best. I went here three days in a row when I was camping nearby. Good food, good service, and everyone has a good sense of humor. I highly recommend.
Delicious and exactly what I needed! If you are camping or driving through they are perfect for a stop. The food was really great and offered better options than other places in the area. If I'm ever through again I'll definitely be stopping there ( also a great beer selection with 1.50 cans on Thursday 😊😊😊)
This is one of the cool places you have to visit on East Coast Bike Rally
This is a really unique, remote bar that is very close to the C&O Canal. The food and drink are good, but the atmosphere is even better.
Awesome place! Food was great! My angry orchard was super cold! Follow the food sign, go through tunnel. You won't be desappointed!
Nice little bar. Very friendly bartenders.
Good food very good food nice people . been going there for years I would rate it 4.7 🍸😎

Been going there close to 50 years. Menu hasn't changed but it's a great place to go
Everyone was super nice. They made us all feel right at home. The food was delicious! If you are in the area it's a must for at least one meal!
